《Fantastic
Beasts and Where to Find Them》 是 Harry Potter 求學時其中一本指定課堂教科書，J.K Rowling 從這部書構築另一個故事，就是此劇的劇情主軸。Eddie Redmayne 飾演的主角 Newt Scamander 是類似魔獸學家的職業，亦是 《Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them》 的作者。他由英國到紐約，有人意外打開他的魔法公事包，魔獸如潘朵拉的寶盒般飛出，Eddie Redmayne 的任務就是要完好回收各魔獸。從影片中可見，《Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them》 的畫面震撼，絕不輸 《Harry Potter》 系列！
臺灣翻作《怪獸與牠們的產地》，預計將於今年 11 月上映。
